Wow! It's hard to believe 16 years have come and gone since I relocated to Charlotte from New York City. Feeling a little nostalgic as I reflect back on the recent anniversary of 911 which, was
one of the main reasons I decided relocate to the Queen City. I remember the feeling I had in the pit of my stomach when I signed the relocation papers. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. Excited to embark on a new journey, and nervous about finding my place in a new city. One of the things that took some getting used to was the laid back style of dress here in the south as opposed to the north. Nothing wrong with either however, I decided to make it my mission to make Charlotte a more fashionable place to live by dedicating my time and talent to creating a respectable outlet for emerging fashion designers, models, makeup artists, stylists and photographers to showcase their talent while developing their skills for the big stage. Ten years later, I would say that goal has been accomplished. I still get a rush seeing models who started out modeling for PLITZS who are now walking the runway during New York during Fashion Week. For many, it is a dream come true. A big shout out to those who had the courage to follow their dream, and to the designers, models, parents and volunteers, thank for all that you have done. I'm also thankful for the special relationships I've made over the years, and I'd like to share four touching dedications I received from a few well-respected individuals within the Charlotte fashion and business communities in honor of our 10th year anniversary. Each of these individuals has had a positive influence on me in one way or another. I am blessed to have had the support of each one over the years.
